In this digital day and age, a lot of photos taken will end up on a hard drive. They will never see daylight again after they have been shown on Instagram or any other digital platform. For me as a photographer, the artistic journey isn't over untill my photos are printed and made the transfer from a digital image to a real product I can hold in my hands and hang on the wall. Therefor I love to make prints of my photos.
My opinion is that every photo deserves the best quality and treatment there is. A lot of effort is made to make the photo, so why settle of less. Also, the process of printing is a creative process that is strongly connected to the final product.
In the old days, the photographer was involved in all the aspects of making a photo. From clicking the button on the camera, to processing the film and to developing the end product. During this process the photographer had to make choices which had big influences on the end product.
Nowadays all the principles of getting a end product are the same, and I as a photographer want to have influence on how my photo ends up as an end product. Therefor I will be part of every process from making the photo with my camera, untill delivering the print to the customer.
To get the best print there is, I will only use a technic called Fine Art Printing (also known as Giclee). This technic uses high quality pigmented inks and archival papers to get the best results. I will only use the best archival cotton paper there is, so the pictures will have a gallery quality.
What I mean with that is that this combination of high end inks and paper is used by galleries all over the world. And the prints are guarenteed to last at least 100 years.
All this so you will have a special print on your wall which would not be misplaced in a museum or gallery!
When you see a print you like, please send me an email so we can work out how to get the print to your house. All prices shown are inclusive VAT and exclusive delivery costs.
